
FIJET EC Meeting in Istanbul
First FIJET Executive Meeting after two years Covid was held from 23 to 26 of March. FIJET Turkey welcomed Executive Committee members in Istanbul.
President Tijani Haddad gave words of thanks and appreciate to our colleagues from Turkey and those who helped to organize this meeting.
Meeting was useful and productive. The goals (long- term and short-term) are set and the agenda included the directions and tasks, main decisions are done.
Executive Committee was informed that two new associations are applying for admission to FIJET: Republic of Cameroon and Burkina Faso. FIJET of Republic of Cyprus reactivated its association.
The new website of FIJET Academy for Young Journalists was launched during the meeting. EC really appreciates the effort the team has put in leading FYJA current project. Thanks to Sema Kutlu, Chairperson of FYJA Committee, Adrian Boioglu and Gabriela Tigu for their work in this succesfull team. FYJA has a Youtube Channel, too.
The president of the FIJET Golden Apple Committee Plamen Starev announced the nominations for 2022: Novi Sad, Serbia and Izmir, Turkey. Plamen also presented the first edition of the renewed Golden Apple е-book.
Ludmila Novacka (FIJET Slovakia) reported Photo Exhibition „Travel and Emotions“ will be held in Kuwait in May and October 2022. She announced 4th Photo Exhibition „Travel and Emotions“ on the theme „Life is not black and white“, planned to be held in Slovakia and Austria.
FIJET Croatia declared International Tourism Film Festival will take place in Solin from 9 to 12 of November 2022. Some FIJET members are nominated for the international Award „Antonio Conte“ for extraordinary contribution for tourism as tourism journalists. Marco Polo Award Ceremony will be held in Zagreb, Decembеr 2022.
FIJET President Tijani Haddad, Delal Atamdede, Hussein Kurtogullari, Plamen Starev and Jacques Campe had breakfast work with the President of The Association of Turkish Travel Agencies - TURSAB Mr. Firuz Baglikaya.
